Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industry Kamyshin said Ukraine's arms production tripled last year and 500 companies now work for the defense sector.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov said that about 50% of the weapons shipped to Ukraine by Western countries did not arrive on time. He believes this puts Ukraine at a further disadvantage in the "mathematics of war."

Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmigal said: "We are convinced that the United States will not give up on Ukraine in terms of financial, military and armed support."

Ukrainian Interior Minister Klimenko told the meeting that in the two years since the full-scale invasion by Russia, no weapons have crossed the border from Ukraine into the EU.

Umerov said delays in aid meant Kiev would "lose people, lose territory," especially given Russia's "air superiority." "We have tried everything possible and impossible, but if weapons are not supplied in time, we will be harmed," he said.

Reuters reported that Kamyshin said at a conference in Kiev on Sunday (February 25) marking the second anniversary of the Russian invasion that 100 state-owned companies and 400 private companies were involved in promoting domestic weapons production and innovation in Ukraine. Ukraine plans to "significantly increase ammunition production" this year.

Ukrainian Digital Minister Fedorov said in another speech that 90% of the drones used on the battlefield against the Russian army are produced in Ukraine.
